Join us for an evening with Dr. Lacey Hunter - Associate Professor of Professional Practice at Rutgers as well as the Associate Director of the Price Institute on Ethnicity, Culture, and the Modern Experience.

She will be presenting a lecture entitled "For the Glory of Our Handiwork: Black Artist and Black Labor"

"This talk will explore the intersection of art and labor within the African American experience, examining the struggles and triumphs of Black workers like the Pullman porters organized by A. Philip Randolph. We'll delve into the powerful artwork of Jacob Lawrence and Stephen Towns, which visually captures the dignity and resilience of Black labor in American history."
